Assembly Vega II+

HackHeld Vega II+ Parts

  1. Prepare the OLED display, PCB, and a piece of double-sided adhesive foam. HackHeld Vega II+ PCB, Screen, adhesive tape

  2. Remove the plastic part of the header pins from the OLED display with pliers. This will help placing the display straight on the PCB. Try to avoid bending the pins while removing the plastic part! Removing plastic part from headers of OLED display Removing plastic part from headers of OLED display

  3. Add the adhesive foam to the back of the OLED display. It will help to fix the display in place while soldering. Adding adhesive to OLED display

  4. Place the screen on the PCB and make sure it is properly aligned. Placing OLED onto HackHeld PCB

  5. Solder the pins of the OLED display to the PCB. Solder OLED pins

  6. Cut the access length of the header pins. Cut OLED header pins

  1. Prepare the HackHeld PCB and the D1 Mini. HackHeld PCB and D1 Mini

  2. Place the D1 Mini onto the header pins on the backside of the PCB. Make sure the D1 Mini is oriented correctly. The USB port should be facing outwards of the PCB, as shown in the picture below. HackHeld PCB with inserted D1 Mini

  4. Cut off the excess length of the header pins. Cut excess length of header pins

  1. Place the PCB onto the bottom part of the case. Make sure the USB port and the buttons are aligned with the openings in the case. HackHeld Vega II+ with back case

  2. Add the top part of the case. HackHeld Vega II+ with front cover

  3. Secure the case with the four screws provided in the kit. HackHeld Vega II+ secured with screws
