Assembly Vega II+

1. OLED display
Section titled “1. OLED display”-
Prepare the OLED display, PCB, and a piece of double-sided adhesive foam.

-
Remove the plastic part of the header pins from the OLED display with pliers. This will help placing the display straight on the PCB. Try to avoid bending the pins while removing the plastic part!

-
Add the adhesive foam to the back of the OLED display. It will help to fix the display in place while soldering.

-
Place the screen on the PCB and make sure it is properly aligned.

-
Solder the pins of the OLED display to the PCB.

-
Cut the access length of the header pins.

2. D1 Mini
Section titled “2. D1 Mini”-
Prepare the HackHeld PCB and the D1 Mini.

-
Place the D1 Mini onto the header pins on the backside of the PCB. Make sure the D1 Mini is oriented correctly. The USB port should be facing outwards of the PCB, as shown in the picture below.

-
Solder both rows of header pins to the D1 Mini.

-
Cut off the excess length of the header pins.

3. Case
Section titled “3. Case”-
Place the PCB onto the bottom part of the case. Make sure the USB port and the buttons are aligned with the openings in the case.

-
Add the top part of the case.

-
Secure the case with the four screws provided in the kit.
